TEST PROGRAM FOR TEAM BENIK PRIOR TO 2019 COOPER TIRES USF2000 CAMPAIGN

Seat available for test program and complete 2019 race season

Ft. Lauderdale, FL – January 9, 2019 – With the start of the 2019 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship on the horizon, Florida based Team BENIK is kicking their off season test program into sixth gear. Set to complete multiple test days throughout January and onwards into February, one seat remains open for the 2019 season beginning on the Streets of St. Petersburg in just under two months.

“We have six days of testing planned in January and more in February,” explained Nick Mitchell. “We have had a lot of interest since confirming a full year effort and only have a few days remaining to get drivers in car this month. We are still working on securing additional days in February, but we will be on track at the Homestead-Miami Speedway at the end of the month.”

Competing at select events throughout the 2018 season, rookie driver Michael d’Orlando and female standout Sabre Cook both piloted the Team BENIK USF-17s. Progressing through the year and showing top-five pace at the end of the season, Mitchell and his program are confident of carrying that momentum onwards into 2019.

“Our team and drivers showed improved pace as the 2018 season went on,” added Mitchell. “In Mid-Ohio, Michael was at the pointy end of the field and battling inside the top-five. We have much of the same staff in 2019 so I am anticipating that upwards progression. Our goal is to not just race, but battle for race wins and podium results.”

With a pair of two-day tests scheduled at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, Team BENIK has one car remaining available for both two-day test periods. Interested parties are asked to contact Team BENIK.

2019 driver announcements will happen in the near future.

COOK INKS DEAL WITH APPLE MOTORSPORTS AND ALPINE BANK FOR MID-OHIO

“Sabré Cook receives additional support”
July 24, 2018 – Gaining experience, knowledge and race craft in the 2018 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda, Sabré Cook has been able to compete at some of North America’s premier facilities and events. Working hand in hand with marketing partners, Cook is pleased to welcome Alpine Bank as the co-primary partner of her #31 Team BENIK entry. Alpine Bank will join long-time Sabré Cook Racing partner Apple Motorsports in a joint effort for this weekend’s triple-header.
“I am really excited to be able to represent and be a brand ambassador for Alpine Bank,” explained Cook. “This is one of those business to business deals that was put together by a group of supporters and to be able to carry their logo on the side of my car is tremendous opportunity. They will join Apple Motorsports, a long-time supporter, to help make the triple-header at Mid-Ohio possible and I am working hard to ensure we can all work together again in Portland.”
Cook continued, “Seeing financial institutions being involved on the IndyCar level, I knew there was an opportunity for others to get involved on a smaller scale. Competing alongside the Verizon IndyCar Series, I will be one avenue for Alpine Bank to receive promotion and recognition in the Mazda Road to Indy.”

Debuting her new livery during rounds ten and eleven of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda, Cook will take on the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this coming weekend.
Cook added, “We tested at Mid-Ohio last week and had to overcome some adversity. An engine issue on the first day of testing put me on the sidelines, but the Team BENIK guys did a great job. Able to get on track during day two of the test, I tried to gain as much track knowledge and experience as possible.”
Sabré Cook would like to thank her marketing partners for their continued support. A huge thanks to Alpine Bank, COTA Karting, MESA Fitness, Bell Racing USA, Apple Motorsports, Aspen Equity Group, and Grand Junction Motor Speedway.
